Senior Community Service (CyberGenerations Initiative)

An initiative designed to teach older individuals how to protect
themselves against cyber threats!

CyberPatriot is the AFA’s (Air Force Association) National Youth Cyber Education Program, created to motivate students toward careers in
cybersecurity and other STEM disciplines. The program has a variety of offerings for K-12 students, as well as a cybersafety initiative for senior citizens and a community service opportunity for student and adult volunteers.

CyberGenerations – the CyberPatriot’s Senior Citizen’s Cyber Safety Initiative – is designed to teach older individuals how to protect themselves against the cyber threats of which they are so often the victims. It helps open the conversation about cybersecurity and makes even the wariest computer users confident in the ability to protect themselves online.

JAAG has AFA certified CyberGeneration “Tech Caregivers” on its staff, which have the ability to conduct onsite/hybrid and/or online self-paced CyberGeneration workshops for the seniors in your community. These services are all free of charge, and will be heavily promoted as an initiative close to the heart of the JAAG team in order to reduce the impact of cybercrime on the most vulnerable members of our communities.

Senior Living Services Solution

Protecting the Senior Living Provider as well as the community of seniors they serve

To truly scale the protection of our seniors from cybercrime, we have to involve and protect the Senior Living Providers that take care of our senior communities. Therefore, JAAG has put together a “Senior Living Service Solution” that cost effectively protects from cybercrime, both the provider, and the seniors that they service.

The solution is a combination of:

A custom CyberGenerations series of onsite/hybrid and online self-paced workshops for the seniors in the charge of the provider.
A custom annual Security Awareness Training (SAT) Program for the provider, its employees, and contractors.
A Cybsersecurity risk assesment and report, based on the U.S. Small Business Association’s (SBA) 6 baseline recommendations, the SAT being one of them, to create a cost effective baseline of Cybersecurity to drastically lower the risks of cybercrime.

The provider will have the option of starting the program with a 30 day, free, no obligations trial of the SAT and if they want to move forward they will get the Senior Living Package Solution at the preferred rate, as long as they agree to offer the custom CyberGenerations worshop program for their seniors as part of the package. If they don’t want to offer the program to their seniors, we can still offer the the SAT training at our regular small business pricing.

Extending the “Senior Living Provider Solution”

The SBA recommendations are relevant to your organization as well as the seniors under your protection

There are 6 recommendations provided by the SBA to strengthen your Cybersecurity :

Train your employees.
Secure your networks.
Use antivirus software and keep all software updated.
Enable Multi-Factor Authentication.
Monitor and manage Cloud Service Provider (CSP) accounts.
Secure, protect, and back up sensitive data.

Recommendation 1 is handled by JAAG’s SAT training and we extend that to your seniors throughtout the CyberGeneration workshops as part of the “Senior Living Provider Solution”.

Recommendations 2, 3, and 4 are provided via JAAG through their End Point Remote Monitoring Management (RMM) add-on. Recommendations 5 and 6 are provided through their End Point Ransomware Protection Module (RPM) add-on for the Senior Living Provider organization. This, again, will be offered at a preferred price model based on their initial Senior Living Provider Solution buy-in.

All of these end point protections can be extended to the senior community though the senior living provider’s cooperation with JAAG.
